How it works, in plain terms.

A mentor that reads your real library and builds the set you will actually play — at your real pace, with every seam scored and a transition named for each one. It remembers your corrections and turns them into rules.

A DJ with a gig and a finite library. It is most useful when your collection is uneven and half-streamed, because that is exactly what generic tools assume away.

Yes, and you should. Open the account menu at the top right and pick how much you want to see. "Just the set" is where you are playing and the finished set, nothing else. "Set and reasoning" adds the phases, the scorecard and what your library can support. "Everything" adds every seam, the decision log, the clock and the performance desk. It is one app at three densities, not three apps — the choice follows you to every screen and to your phone, and you can change it whenever you like.

You start on "Just the set", because a first night is not the moment to meet forty numbers. Nothing is hidden permanently — everything the deeper rungs show is still being computed, it is simply not on your screen until you ask for it. Two things are never hidden at any level: what the set could NOT establish, and which library it was built from.

Tonight tells it about the gig. Library imports your collection. Sets builds the set and scores it. Coach, Practice, Booth and Rig Doctor come after those and are not built yet — they are marked SOON on the rail rather than left to look clickable.

Your pace, not a formula: about 20 records an hour. A 3-hour gig is 60 records. The total running time you see is the set length, not the sum of the record lengths — you overlap every one of them.

A place where the tempo DROPS while the arc is still climbing. A drop during a deliberate descent — a pool party landing, a wedding send-off — is the shape working, not sag, and is not counted.

A streaming track that is not in your Offline Locker cannot be analysed or hot-cued, so it is unplayable if the wifi dies. It is excluded rather than left in as a risk you would find on the night.

Type it in. The picker has 30 genres in five families, and underneath it there is a field for anything it does not carry — a subgenre, a label, whatever your library actually calls it. It is matched against the genre text on your own records, so a crate DJ Brain cannot classify is still reachable by the name you gave it, and it is remembered for next time.

Red triangles are memory cues; the pads fire hot cues A–H only. For a Beatport streaming track the only sequence that works is Store Offline → Import To Collection → auto-analysis → hot cues A–H. Import To Collection is the step that triggers analysis, and “Analyze Tracks” stays greyed until the track is stored. Verify in the pad grid, not the waveform letters.

No. Export writes a NEW playlist and never touches master.db, and a backup is taken before any rekordbox-side change.

Nothing. It is a 15-second room snapshot — tempo, level trend, colour drift, reaction at the last drop. No audio is recorded and none is uploaded.

You. Your canon lives under your own account and the rules deny everything else by default.

It says so. Every set carries a list of what it could not establish, and that list is shown at every density level — it is the one thing turning the interface down does not turn off. A number DJ Brain cannot compute is reported as missing rather than filled in with a plausible one.
